Surfing the web I came across a good recipe for Chocolate Martini's for all those Vodka and Chocolate lovers (I know there are enough out there for this to be a relevant post)
Chocolate Martini
If you love chocolate and cocktails you must try this great drink! We prefer Godiva liqueur and chocolate, but you can use your favorite in this recipe. You can use your favorite milk, dark, or semisweet chocolate with great results.
Ingredients:
Ice
2 fluid ounces chocolate liqueur
1 1/2 fluid ounces vodka
1/2 ounce grated chocolate
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the chocolate liqueur and vodka to the shaker. Shake briskly to mix and chill. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with the chocolate.
Makes 1 Serving.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

I was reading old emails and ran into these two sent by VodkaRanking.com readers, if you too have any questions or comments please send them to info@vodkaranking.com
Both Ketel One and Absolut had the Ketel One description, the error has been corrected now and Absolut has the respective description. Thanks for taking your time to notify me about this!Dear Vodka Ranking, i think there might be a mistake on the fifth vodka description, as it is the same as the second egg.: Ketel One and Absolut. Yours Faithfully, Rafael Pentagna Silvestre
A lot of people has been asking me how is it possible that Smirnoff vodka is ranked in the Top 10. Many also have expressed to me their disagreement with Grey Goose ranked #8 because common word in the streets is that Grey Goose is the best tasting vodka in the world. Well... here are my explanations for each case:I love your website because i was doing the same thing you were awhile back. trying to find a list of vodka rankings. The one problem i have is that you have smirnoff ranked in the top ten. it's awful. it burns like no other. not to mention you have finlandia below it. have you ever tried the two side by side? it's a major difference. anyways thanks for your cool web page Rick
Although I have tested Smirnoff vodka several times, and agree that alone it has an awful taste with a horrible burning sensation, but mixed the feeling improves considerably, however, in About The Ranking I already explained I didn't based this ranking on my personal taste or opinions. I invite you to read this article from the NewYork Times ranking Smirnoff vodka number one among 21 vodkas.
Regarding Grey Goose, uhmm... yes, yes, great taste, so delicate and delicious. But let me tell you the story about Grey Goose, you'll be surprised. Let's take Belvedere for example, which is deservedly ranked as the best vodka in the world. Belvedere's history goes to 1800's and earliest, and distilled in copper columns stills. Grey Goose, on the other hand, popularity is more the product of an intense marketing campaign than history and actual taste. Don't get me wrong, I already admitted to be charmed by Grey Goose taste too. But, the truth is that Grey Goose was a tailor-made vodka for the United States in 1997 by Sidney Frank. His concept was to create a super-premium vodka for Americans. In other words, just provide the market with another nice tasting vodka at a super inflated price to create the perception of a higher quality product. Guess what? It worked! Sidney Frank later sold Grey Goose to Bacardi for $2 billion dollars paid in cash in the largest ever single brand sale.
And that's the reason why Grey Goose deserves to be in the Top 10, but never placed above greater vodkas like Belvedere.

VodkaRanking.com Blog is up and I finally updated the 'About the ranking' section. I'm happy to announce my search engine optimization efforts had a positive result. DomainTools.com gave us a 97% SEO score! The term 'vodka ranking' lists us first at both Google.com and Yahoo.com and I'm already noticing some nice search engine traffic. This has motivated me to work even more at the website and update more frequently, for the time being I will focus on finishing the list and all the other details regarding the website structure and design.
